Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Pickld Pepper keeps your data on your own devices. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Data we collect
Pickld Pepper doesn't collect personal data. The app has no accounts, sign-in, analytics, advertising, crash reporting or third-party libraries. We can't see your data, and the app sends us nothing.
The information you enter (sessions, matches, game scores, opponent and partner names, format, indoor or outdoor, and matchup and effort ratings) is stored on your device with Apple's SwiftData framework. If iCloud sync is on, it's also stored in your private iCloud account.
Health data
With your permission, the app reads workouts, heart rate, active calories and workout effort from Apple Health, and saves pickleball workouts and your effort rating to it.
If you record a session with a paired Apple Watch, the app starts a pickleball workout. When the session ends, it saves that workout to Apple Health on your device with its duration, heart rate, calories, and the indoor or outdoor setting. The effort rating you give a session is saved as a Workout Effort Score, so it also appears in the Fitness app. On iPhone, the app reads your saved workouts and heart rate from Apple Health to show them on the session and Stats screens.
Health data is never transmitted. It isn't sent to us or shared with anyone, and it's excluded from iCloud sync, so the measured values stay on the device that recorded them and in Apple Health. Apple's privacy protections govern your Health data, and you can revoke the app's Health access at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings.
iCloud sync
If iCloud sync is on, your match history (sessions, matches, games, opponents and partners) syncs between your iPhones through Apple's CloudKit framework. This data lives in your personal iCloud account and is covered by Apple's iCloud privacy policy. We have no access to it.
Heart rate, calories and workout summaries are kept in a separate local database that never syncs. The Apple Watch app doesn't use iCloud. It exchanges data only with your paired iPhone.
Apple Watch
Your iPhone and Apple Watch exchange session and score data directly through Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. The data goes only between your two devices and never passes through our servers.
Photos, camera, location and contacts
If you save a session's share image, the app asks for permission to add it to your photo library. It never reads your photos.
Pickld Pepper does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts or location, and contains no code that uses them.
In-app purchase
Apple processes the one-time unlock. The app only learns whether the unlock was purchased and never receives payment or personal details.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party SDKs, ad networks, crash reporters or analytics tools. We don't share or sell data to anyone.
Your control over your data
You can delete all your sessions from the Profile tab at any time. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. To remove data that has already synced to iCloud, go to your Apple Account in iOS Settings.
Children
Pickld Pepper does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 and has no mechanism to do so.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Major changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
